This past weekend (11/4/2007) I was visiting with my sister, Cathy in Sumrall, Mississippi and went on a shopping trip into town at the Dollar General and found some Christmas ribbon in the Christmas section of the store. Each spool was $1.00 and had 9 ft of ribbon. We decided to each buy 4 spools and we went back to her house we divided the ribbon between the both of us. Both of us walked away with 4.5 feet of 8 different ribbons. I have already used some of these ribbons on a few of my cards.
A Challenge over at Sweet & Sassyhttp://sweetmissdaisy.typepad.com/sassy_sweet_notes/sweet_notes/ . This is my first time ever participating in a challenge. She posted a picture of a beautiful salad plate that had a sunflower design on it. The challenge was to use the plate as inspiration. A few weeks ago I bought a Miss Elizabeth sticker sheet with sunflowers at Dollar Tree. So of course this challenge really sparked my creative juices. This is just the first card that I designed with the sunflower stickers, but I think there will be more in the near future. Challenge over at Daring Cardmakershttp://www.daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/ to use snowflakes and snowman - This challenge sounded like it would be fun to do. Several years ago my sister, Wanda gave me a tablet of winter papers, stickers, and die cuts. Well I was able to use this as my starting point and created 4 really cute winter cards. The first card I did was a Z fold. Then the other 3 I decided to do will be part of my Christmas Cards that I will be mailing out this year.
Great cards, all of them!! Love that sunflower sticker you found! what a great treasure! Thanks so much for visiting my blog, taking my challenge and making it your own! Cheers! -Anna.
In the world of scrapbooking I am known by several different names.
Memorycollector is my name for my online group called "The Crop Room".
Paper Piecing Patty is the name that Garnet (MeMe Cat), and the Scrapping Cats started to call me, and everyone at the Scrapbook Cottage.
The Scrappin Packin Mommas, which is a group of 15 ladies in Harvey, Louisiana that meets once a month to scrapbook. Each of the ladies in the group has a momma name, and they named me Momma 411. The name stuck since I am the resourse person of the group.
