Here are two of the plaques that I made for a Christmas Gift. I found the little wooden plaques at Dollar Tree. The clipart is just something I came upon while surfing the internet. I used Mod podge to seal it all together.
My son's girlfriend little girl, Bailey (3yrs old) was in love with this plaque. For Bailey I found some Hannah Montana stickers at Dollar Tree and made her a plaque, which she totally fell in love with.
More cards for Jenny and my card box. All of the images was colored with markers and chalk. I just love inking the edges of my cards. The cards with the orange lily, the scallop punch border from Stampin Up was used to make the paper ribbon strip on the card.
The online group "The Crop Room" that I belong to has a swap that they have being during for the last several months called the "Card Queen". Last month I was the queen and this month it is Jenny and she asked for some Sympathy cards. I decided to make 10 power packs (cards) to work on the first day of Go Go Momma's crop. Five of the cards are going to be for Jenny and the other five will go in my card box.
Lisa taught this class on Friday evening at Go Go Momma's crop. Everything was pretty much cut on the Cricut. The number circles are attached using velcro. I used stickles to make my numbers pop. I totally enjoyed doing this class. Lisa you are so talented. Thanks for teaching the class. I know that Nicole and Bailey will love this clipboard.
This weekend I went to Go Go Momma's (Jackie) crop. Which I had a wonderful time. I was able to complete 10 Symphathy cards and 24 christmas cards. I taught a paper piecing (turkey)class. I also made a clipboard which is a countdown to Christmas. The bakets here in the picture was a door prize and the other was a birthday gift for a friend (Lisa). Michele (Angel Momma) won the door prize.
The event was from Thursday 2:00 p.m. through Saturday 2:00 a.m. On Thursday was 3 ladies and on Friday we had 5 ladies, then on Saturday 8 ladies were in attendees. Jackie was a great host. We had Gumbo and Potato salad from one of the local restaurants in the neighboring town of Lafitte. Our event was in Crown Point, Louisiana. We also had hot dogs & Chili, Papa John's pizza, and from our hostess' kitchen we had Red Beans and Rice. On Thursday night we were treated to a fry turkey. Jenny's husband was testing a new piece of equipment he inquried to cook a fried turkey without oil. The turkey was so good and juicey.
Over the next few days I will be posting the sympathy, christmas cards and other projects that was completed. Thanks Jackie for hosting such a great event.
I love this santa claus, he was fun to make. For some reason I have made several differnt giraffes, but I really enjoy doing a giraffe paper piecing for some reason. It is a awesome piece to put on a zoo layout.
Three little witches carrying three little pumpkins. The first one is an original paper piecing. The next 2 are color copy of the original, embellished with stickles. I call them my "copy cats" and sell them less than I do the originals. This picture does not do justice for the copy cats, they are a lot darker in person.
For some reason the user (Me) of the camera did not take great pictures this morning.
This one was fun to make. Notice the tennis shoes have red stickles. One of the ghost is outline in a lite blue stickles. I have just falling in love with stickles. I have about 14 in my collection so far.
Susan filled my request for Get Well cards. I love the image she used on the cards. Also, in the envelope was a prize I won at "The Crop Room" for playing the Halloween ABC game. Thanks Susan, for the cards and the ABC stamps.
More cards arrived in the mail from my online group "The Crop Room". Sandy filled my request for thinking of you cards. Love all the cards and love how she made her own pattern paper using stamps. Love how the blue heart card and the flower cards fold.
When I got home from work yesterday. There was a happy mail package awaiting me. It was 2 scrapbook magazines that someone sent to me as a RAK (randon act of kindness). I do not have a magazine subscription to either magazine, so I was excited to get them. I flipped through the Simple Scrabook one and seen quite a few ideas that I have to try. The other magazine was Scrapbook, etc.
Well whoever you were (postmark-New Orleans) thank you so much for thinking about me. Like I have said a dozen time before I just love getting happy mail. Thank You Thank You
Well now I have to PIF (Pay it forward). Who will it be ????????
More cards arrived in the mail the other day from Jenny and she filled my request for humorous cards. She was very generous and sent 2 additional cards and some card fronts for me to complete additional cards. Thanks Jenny. Love the saying on the front of the cards.
................................................Yesterday I met up with some scrapping friends and taught a paper piecing class. Well here are the turkeys that each lady made. I think that everyone did a fantastic job.
My online group "The Crop Room" had several challenges for its members to complete starting on World Card day and continuing for a few days. We approximately 13 challenges. We could do them all or choose the ones that we wanted to complete. I choose to complete about 5 challenges. This is the prize (chuckey chipboard book, with shoelace tags and matching ribborn). I won for participating. Each challenge the managers awarded a prize, base on participation.
Lizzy has now donated 10 handmade Christmas cards to the troops. She ended up using some of the embossed, glitter Christmas stickers on some of her cards. I love them all. Her candy cane card opens in the middle. Thanks Lizzy for all the great cards.
I belong to an online group called "The Crop Room" and I was picked to be the Card Queen for the month of October. I will be receiving 40 cards from 10 members of the group. These are get well cards that came all the way from North Carolina and was made by Jeanette Taylor. Thank you for the get well cards, I can really use them.
In the world of scrapbooking I am known by several different names.
Memorycollector is my name for my online group called "The Crop Room".
Paper Piecing Patty is the name that Garnet (MeMe Cat), and the Scrapping Cats started to call me, and everyone at the Scrapbook Cottage.
The Scrappin Packin Mommas, which is a group of 15 ladies in Harvey, Louisiana that meets once a month to scrapbook. Each of the ladies in the group has a momma name, and they named me Momma 411. The name stuck since I am the resourse person of the group.
