I started this painting months ago, did not like it so I sat it aside now in August 2012 I have picked it back up. I was going to paint it white and start over but instead I kept going with it. It is okay.
Still working on that mosaic and the banners will have "Boil Em" and the other will say "Peel Em".
again thanks for stopping by.
Was not sure what color to paint the border. But I like the dark gary. I would like to paint a white scroll border and then I think they painting will be complete. Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to stop back to see the finished project.
The painting is pretty much done. Just need to put some highlights on the lettering. It also went into my scrapbook supplies and used some stardust stickles (glitter glue) on the yellow mardi gras bead. Need to seal it with several coats of clear varnish, and attach a wire - wrap it and it ready for delivery.
Please leave a comment let me know what you think.
This now hangs in Sheylynne Morgan and Steve Stamm's home
thought I would mix the two together. I painted the gold Saint Word and the Saints letters white then I let dry for 24 hours, and then took a copic .01 and prismacolor .03 and .08 black pens and strated to create the zentanle part of the painting. Still have to paint the background black and finish shading my fleur de lis.
Would love to hear what you think about my painting. Please leave a message. Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to stop by and see the finished painting.
here is the start of another painting. I am working on 4 paintings on canvas and 1 driftwood all at the same time. Never tackled this many painting at once. Just in a creative mood. No I cannot draw very well so I traced the fleur de lis.
Come back soon to see the finished paintings. Thanks for stopping by. It would be nice if you could leave a comment.

This is a piece of wood that has traveled the great Mississippi River. I wonder how far upstream it started. Well it landed on the shores of the mighty Mississippi and Harvey, Louisiana near the Harvey locks. This is a gift for a friend's bridal shower. Wanted to give it a New Orleans theme.
Come back soon to see the finished picture.

The shading of the shrimp was a challenge, but I think I did a pretty good job. The picture is now finish with just a few little details.
