The saying in New Orleans is 'makin groceries". This image was floating around on Facebook. I like it and wanted to paint it. This is my finished verison of the image.
picked up the hats and paper baskets from Dollar Tree. I decorated them with silk flowers, clipart, and scrapbook paper to make paperpiecings of the duck and rabbit.
this is something that I freehand painted. Was not to happy at first, but my little angel is growing on me now.
Here is the second altered paint brush. Again I used arylic paint, clipart colored with copic markers.
My friend, Charlene is doing a "Altered Paint Brush" swap at her March Crop. I wanted to see if I could create one and this is one of three that I created. I used arylic paint, clipart colored with copic markers, and mod podge the whole paint brush and then spray clear as a proective coat.

This is something I have been wanting to do for a while a mosaic painting. Well not long ago my sister, Cathy posted a picture with the fleur de lis with the heart and the world NOLA. Loved it and decided to paint my version of the fleur de lis.

This is a picture of a pelican that my sister, Lizzy sent my way (look in the 2nd picture to the left and you will see the pelican I am copying). Recently I asked everyone on facebook to send pictures of pelicans and this is the one I went with.
