Paper Piecing classes taught at Scrappin Friendzee

Scrappin Friendzee's grand opening was Saturday, July 11, 2009 from 9am till 5pm. There was over 24 ladies that came to crop for the day and boy did we have fun. Through out the day we earned tickets for chances to win one of the Big 3 prizes. One of the prizes had a mystery gift attached to it and you had to be there for that drawing. Julie Lay won and the mystery was 6 months of free crops. Horray for Julie. Throughout the day there was a stream of shoppers in the store.

I taught two classes one at 10am and the other at 2p.m. We had a lot of newbies for the class. Both paper piecing was themed toward 4th of July. Here are the results of the class. Everyone that participated in the paper piecing classes did a wonderful job.

TRADING CARDS

This past Friday I spent the day at the local scrapbook store (Scrappin Friendzee) with my sister, Lizzy and her daughter, Sara and a few of my scrapping friends. I was showing Sara my buddy pages 6 x6 and I asked her to make me one and I would make her one. Her mom, my sister, Lizzy said that she would want card size ones. So with that thought a light bulb with off and I decided to make a trade card (2-1/2 x 3-1/2) of me to trade with my sister, Lizzy. I also made a little book for her to put them on and she could hang them from her tote. Below is the result of the trading cards. I like it so much that I decided to me some for trading, and the ladies that already gave me their 6 x 6 layouts I made a card of each of them for my trading card book

DAD Phot Album Part 2

Here is the last of the pages. I decided that I needed a lot of pictures. 35 in fact, that is why I did some accordin photo matts for the pictures. Then Bailey came to the house and we used versa marker on her hands and she stamped them on the back cover, and I let her pick her color of embossing powder, which was pink. Alothough somehting was wrong with the embossing powder did not leave a good finish but did adhere to the page.
