Cathy sent Peter home with 44 beautiful hand made all occassion cards for the soliders. Here they are and they are beautiful, she did make several duplicates.
Thanks Cathy for your beautiful cards.

Wanda made some needlepoint cross pins for me to include in the boxes of cards that we will be sending to the troops in November.

The PINK crop was held at Scrappin Friendzee at 2201 Barataria Blvd, Marrero, Louisiana on Friday, Oct 8 and Saturday, Oct 9, 2009. I attend on Saturday and worked on cards for the troops. I completed 20 cards. While there we were asked to decorate a pink breast cancer ribbon. I did not bring anything pink all christmas cardstock and paper. But be hold I did search my paper container hoping that I had something to decorated with and I did, one magenta cardstock and a very small piece of a pattern pink cardstock. So yes I was able to create a little something to put on my ribbon. It was a memory ribbon for my mom, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 1991.

I am really on a roll another painting just a simple craw-de-lis painting. I am sure I could use lots of instruction on painting, but I am having fun just doing it on my own. So here it is the 3rd painting.

Instead of doing a paper piecing class last month (September) at Shey Lynne's crop at Cucos's the group worked on flowers. I cut flowers from the circut and showed the ladies how to use a stylus to give the flower a 3d look and some texture. Here is the end results.

After doing my 1st painting I was ready to do a second picture and here are the end results of that picture.

As most of you know that I belong to an online group called "The Crop Room". I signed up for the Bits and Pieces Challenge in the crop room and yesterday a package of goodies was delivered to my home and I had to create a card and have it posted by Sept 25. We I got to work right away and this is what I created.

Several of my friends have talked about the Cork N Canvas classes, where you go and socialize, have a bit of wine, then you paint a simple picture on a canvas. Well last Thursday after work I stopped at Wal-mart and bought a 16 x 20 canvas and a small arylic paint set, and some brushes. Then I went home and searched the internet for some clipart to use in my picture, since I do not draw very well. I traced the jester hat, the fleur de lis, the saxphone and the street car. I free handed the street lamp, the house, the St. Louis Cathderal, the piano keys, and the tabasco bottle. I have to say that it took me 5 -1/2 days to complete this painting. It will a challenge to me to see if I could accomplish this on my own with no intructions. I think I did a pretty good job.

here is a better shot of the paper piecing. Sorry for the bad photos. I did not take them out of the page protectors

The stars on this layout was pop dotted. Used stickles on the hat of the moon.

use the stickles on all the bubbles, also used the chalk to highlight the bubbles different colors.

the teddy bear is an image I found on the net and recolored it using my new copic sketch markers.
The teddy bear on the moon is a paper piecing I made I also used stickles to outline the stars.
