So far I am pleased with the out come of this painting.  The mosaic border is taking a while to do.

alligator & an angel

 2 pieces of driftwood I painted.   Bailey seen the Alligator and wanted her big brother, Anthony to have it.  So I gave it to her for him.  I didn't get to drill holes and add wire for hanging.  I am sure Paw Paw Walter can do that.




This is angel for Bailey to hang in her room.

The heart shape shrimp painting

 I was going to have a border around the painting, but decided against it.  I still need to shade the shrimp and the bubbles.

More Challenges for Zentangles

 Another picture.  My sister, Cathy posted a picture of two raw shrimp shaped liked a heart and said she thought it would make a good painting.  Well I tried to found a big piece of driftwood to paint it on, but had no luck.  I will keep looking for that right piece of driftwood and if it ever comes my way I would like to paint a heart shaped shrimp.

Bailey seen this painting on my table and said "Patty, I know what kind of shrimp those are". So I asked "what kind". She said "Raw shrimp". I thought that was so funny.

Boiled Crab Painting

 This is one of my 365 pictures that I took. Several of my friends said that I should paint it. Well this is my verison of that picture. I still have a ways to go.  Want to paint a moasic boarder.

Zentangles

Over the past few months I have become interested in Zentangle.  I did not think I could do these beautiful designs.  But with the internet and a little bit of searching I started teaching myself some of the patterns that is used in this art. 

To my surprise I have done a few pieces and I must say I am pretty satisfied with them. 

I stumbled across the blog called “The Bright Owl” where there are Zentangle Challenges. They give you a basics shape and then you creative a miniature masterpiece.  http://thebrightowl.blogspot.com/

Well I have enjoyed doing these 3 x 5 tiles (which is a piece of paper). For some reason I have been doing them in pencil verses ink.  I would like to sometimes in the future creative some type of border along a door in my house using these tiles.  I am going to see if I can mod podge them to a 3 x 5 square piece of wood. I am hoping the pencil does not smear when sealing it in with mod podge, then I will seal it with a spray clear varnish.
